Tour de France 2018
Last year he was able to walk to the start but this year it was a long drive to the start of the Tour de France. Philipp Hympendahl took his 6x17 analog panorama camera to the Alps. He came back with one of his favourite photos and a text essay: "A day at the races".
Classic season
Philipp Hympendahl photographed the famous spring classics for the current TOUR cycling magazine with extreme climbs and cobblestone sections - key points where the race often decides.
Television
WDR Lokalzeit accompanied the photographer Philipp Hympendahl during his tour. The professional photographer from Düsseldorf has been photographing the event for years.
TdF 2017 in Paris
On the final course of the Tour de France 2017 in Paris Philipp Hympendahl did not crank up his manual camera in the heat of the moment - but this "accident" turned out to be quite nice.
Looking back

On the occasion of the Grand Depart 2017 there is the motive "Lunchtime-Düsseldorf" in a high-quality, limited edition of 100 pieces in the size 98 x 78 cm.
The Village
Philipp Hympendahl took the 9 meter long panorama photo "The Village" in October 2010 from a 40 meter high crane on the Düsseldorfer Rheinwiesen. The picture consists of around 100 individual photos, which were fused into a whole over a period of several weeks.
